After closing the doors of her dance academy, **Dancehall Till Dawn**, in 2019, Dawn Hook felt a strong desire to give something back to young girls and  women and create a space where they could simply be themselves.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, many women were struggling emotionally, feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a safe space to relax, connect, and forget about everyday life for a while. Dawn understood that feeling all too well. After taking a three-year break from teaching dance, she also needed a space to reconnect with herself and her passion.

Biker girl edition

Bring your flag pt 4

Designed for women and non-binary participants, every edition features a unique theme and dress code, making each event a one-of-a-kind experience. Participants enjoy complimentary drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), Caribbean snacks and sweets while learning an exclusive Dawn Hook choreography created especially for that edition..

In 2026, Dawn taught her final Drink n Dance with D edition in the Netherlands as she prepared for a new chapter in her journey.

Now, she is working on bringing **Drink n Dance with D to Curaçao**, creating a new space where women can dance, connect, celebrate themselves, and simply enjoy the moment.

Meanwhile, her eldest daughter, **Mamayu**, will continue the legacy of **Drink n Dance with D in the Netherlands**, keeping the concept alive for a new

generation.

More than a dance class, Drink N Dance with D is a celebration of confidence, self-expression, and connection. Whether you're dancing for the first time or already have experience, everyone is welcome to enjoy the music, embrace the theme, and become part of a growing community.

Held every two to three months, each edition brings a fresh concept and unforgettable atmosphere.

Previous themes have included Glow in the Dark, Christmas, Barbie, Biker Girl, and the fan-favorite Bring Your Flag Edition.

Come for the vibe. Stay for the experience. Dance with D.
